What to Expect

When you make an appointment with our veterinary clinic, you will receive superior care, a compassionate and experienced veterinarian, and a wide array of available services. To allow time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment only. Emergency cases will always receive priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available. This means you have the option to bring your pet before your appointment time (usually in the morning) and leave them with us for a couple of hours. Here are a few things to do and know to prepare for your visit.

Upon arrival, you will be given our New Patient Registration Form to be filled out and signed, along with any necessary treatment consent forms. We recommend that your pet be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting area of our clinic. If you need a slip leash or small carrier, we have those available for loan or purchase.

Once your appointment starts, our friendly and knowledgeable vet-techs will want to know about your pet’s health history and any health concerns you may have for your pet. If you have records from a former veterinarian – especially of vaccinations – these will be very helpful. Otherwise, please be prepared to tell us everything you know about your animal’s health history, and any current questions or concerns you have. We’ll ask about diet, elimination, exercise, sneezing, vomiting, and general behavior. The doctor will review all the information you give about your pet and will then begin a thorough examination.

What We’ll Do:

  • General Physical examination
  • Listen to heart and lungs
  • Examine the ears
  • Examine the eyes
  • Examine the mouth
  • Examine the cardiovascular system
  • First puppy and kitten checkups receive a free basic deworming with Pyrantel
  • Record body weight
  • Give vaccinations as needed
  • Diagnose and address any health concerns
Things to Note:

Some vaccinations and tests will be required before we will board or give surgical treatment to your pet.

We can provide many services, including wellness checks, vaccinations, blood tests, x-rays, surgeries, and nail trimming. In case of specialized care, we will refer you to an area specialist.

Full payment is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and credit/debit card payments.

Our clinic looks forward to serving you and your pet. We are confident that you will be happy with the ease and comfort of our veterinary service. Phone us today at 417-876-5717 to schedule an appointment or go to our appointment request page.
